Greene Giving supports 31st annual BHS Resolution 5K

The Greene County Community Foundation has made a contribution to the Beavercreek High School boys and girls cross country teams that also will help fund the upcoming 31st annual BHS Resolution 5K run.

Also known as Greene Giving, the gift will help financially support more than 150 members of the Beavers’ running teams by funding warm-ups, cross training equipment and overnight trips.

“This generous donation, along with other community donations, allows us to not only put on a quality family/community event through the Resolution Run, but also use those additional funds to help support the cross country runners,” Beavercreek head coach Howard Russ said.

The resolution run is a holiday favorite among area runners and beyond. Sponsored by the Beavercreek cross country teams, race-day registration begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31. A kids race is at 7 p.m. and the 5K race throughout the surrounding community streets is at 8 p.m.

Online registration is available at resolutionrun5k.itsyourrace.com.

“We are happy to contribute to such a wonderful family and community event,” Greene Giving board member Jerry Pfeifer said. “It meets our mission of supporting quality of life in Greene County and beyond.”
